CEFET acts as the Voluntary & Community Sector (VCS) / Third Sector regional representative in the ESF programme, through One East Midlands the regional voluntary and community sector infrastructure organisation. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Latest News ..............Launch of the new ESF Innovation and Transnational funding - November 2008 The region will accept bids for projects under any of the fund's six themes. CEFET is supporting the development of activity under the theme of Active Inclusion. We are interested in work to continue the Community Empowerment approaches to Inclusion work which have been a unique and impressive feature of East Midlands use of ESF. Part-funded by the European Social Fund, the Jobmaets programme, started in the region on 23rd June 2008. Its aim is to help people get into employment and the programme needs voluntary and community organisations to become involved to make it work. “A core principle of the programme is that specialist service providers (drugs, debt, health etc) and voluntary and community groups and organisations will work together to provide a seamless service to help disadvantaged customers into work.” Click here to get more details of Jobmaets, the lead providers, and how you can get involved.

CEFET ran the hugely successful Catalyst, Tiger & Tiger 2 small grants Programmes, which enabled excluded people to run activites within their own communities to combat exclusion.
